Shaburi & Kintan which combines both hotpot and grill option in one concept has launched a New Grand Menu 2020. They are introducing premium meat cuts such as Angus Beef Sukiyaki, Diamond Karubi and the crowd-favorite Iberico Pork Collar. 

They have also added new side dishes to their menu such as Salmon Sushi Roll, Aburi Salmon Sushi Roll and California Roll as well as the likes of Bibimbap, Tonkotsu Ramen, Beef Niku Udon and Yakisoba in the new “Rice & Noodle” category.

Yakuzen Soup, Japanese Herbal Soup that is miso based and simmered with healthy spices such as ginger, leek, star anise, garlic and cinnamon is a new addition to their broth options for shabu shabu.

To ensure safe distancing, customers now scan a QR code to access the online menu to order the hotpot and grill items. They can also fill up a form to have their ala carte items, drinks and dessert delivered to their table.

Ah Hoi’s Kitchen is a local zi char specialty restaurant at Hotel Jen Tanglin by Shangri-La that has reopened for dine-in since September. Serving local favorites since 1996, guests can look forward to having these dishes in an alfresco setting under the stars.


Prepared with quality ingredients, the highlight is their Sri Lankan Chilli Crab which the meaty crustaceans are coated in a tantalizing sauce made with a sambal that has been laboriously prepared for hours. The Salted Egg Baby Lobster is one of their best sellers with the succulent meat and flavorful sauce being an absolute delight. Chef Tiger’s Seabass with Thai Spicy Sauce stands out for me as the crunchyness of the fried fish and the appetizing Thai sauce go perfectly together.


We also had the Stir Fried Eggplant with Crispy Fish Skin which is a  delectable combination, Claypot Mee Tai Pak with Seafood, Pineapple Fried Rice with Seafood and Chicken Floss and my personal favorite is the Crispy Fried Noodles with Prawns. Drinks wise, I enjoyed the Dancing Lychee which is refreshing and soothing.
As part of its reopening, the restaurant is also introducing an à la carte buffet for dinner that will feature their best-selling dishes.

Definitely one of the frontrunners for the best Greek restaurant in Singapore, Blu Kouzina in Dempsey Hill offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine and an intimate and relaxed dining experience.

We started with the Appetizers by having the Grilled Pita that comes with 4 different types of dips, Greek Potato Garlic Dip, Olive Dip, Tzaziki and Sun Dried Tomatoes Dip and Vegan Tarama Dip. This is followed by Kale Wonderland Salad with the delightful crunch of the kale and pomegranate in the salad making it really addictive.

Next up were the mains with the Moussaka being the highlight of the meal. It is a flavor-packed assortment of oven-baked eggplant, potatoes, minced meat and bechamel. We also had the Cornish Hen with Baby Onions and Greek Flat Noodle with Pulled Beef before ending our meal with the Greek Rice Pudding and the decadent Greek Orange Cake served with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Drinks wise, we had the Athenian Spritz , a refreshing concoction made up of Otto’s Vermouth , Sparkling Wine and Tonic and also savored Greek sparkling water from Mastiqua which includes Mastiqua Greek Sparkling Water infused with Mastiha, Mastiqua Greek Lemonada , Mastiqua Green Tea and Mastiqua Sour Cherry.

The first of which is Garden By The Bay, a homage to Singapore iconic Gardens By The Bay which infuse together the taste and aroma of berry and floral freshness in the garden. Each bite is a release of the different layer of flavors that seeks to luxuriate your tastebuds and leave you with an unforgettable gastronomical experience.

Shown here are the Black Forest Tart, Mango & Passion Tart, Lemon Tart, Chocolate Tart and the Moon Walk Tart, a mini version of their signature dessert Moon Walk. The Mango & Passion Tart stands out for having a zesty and refreshing flavor while the Black Forest Tart will appeal to you visually with its delicate toppings.

They have also introduced new savory items. The starter is the eye catching Fruity Gazpacho, a cold Spanish soup made of raw, blended vegetables and Bread paired with their housemade dips,  Eggplant with Salted Egg , Roasted Paprika with Walnut and Cumin as well as Chickpea Hummus.

Next up is the Scallops with Yuzu Foam, Pineapple and Coconut. Meat lovers will relish their Iberico Secreto with Homemade Sauce and Sous Vide Chicken with Parsley and Coriander Sauce. Both of which will blow you away with the tenderness of the meat and the complexity of their flavors.

The Egg & Cocao Pasta with Beef Cheek is a masterpiece. Shown here is a sampling portion, the Cocoa noodles deserves all the plaudits and you will marvel at the creativity of their head chef Huseyin Turan who is the protégée of Michelin-starred chef Juan Amardor.

We began the meal with the Roasted Chicken Salad and Mussels in White Wine. Next up was meat galore as we indulged in Fish & Chips, 120 Day Aussie Ribeye and Coffee-rubbed Tomahawk Pork Chop, all of which will be incredibly satisfying for the meat lovers.

Robert Timms has also launched the D’Impossibles Plant Based Diet menu along with The Connoisseur Concerto in a collaboration with Impossible Foods. Shown here are the Impossible Cheese Burger , Impossible Quesadilla and Impossible Chilli Con Carne Fries. Last but not least, there is always time for the likes of Over The Top Milkshakes, Sticky Date Pudding and Lamington to end the meal on a sweet note.
