Plume in Pan Pacific Singapore celebrated the appointment of its new Head Mixologist, Akmal Haqim, with a lively industry gathering on Monday, 15 September 2025. The evening saw some of the region’s most creative bartending talents take centre stage, each presenting daring signature cocktails in Akmal’s honour. Guests enjoyed imaginative creations such as Akmal’s Hangover Cure by Adrian Besa, GOT MILK MEH? by Alyph Mazlan, and WHATSIDE by Giselle Lee, while DJ Amanda Chuin kept the energy high with an electrifying mix of house and pop tracks.
A homegrown talent with over a decade of experience, Akmal’s career has spanned acclaimed establishments including 28 HongKong Street and Jungle Ballroom, where he was instrumental in launching award-winning cocktail programmes. Known for drawing inspiration from Asian flavours and storytelling through his drinks, Akmal now brings his creative vision and expertise to PLUME, marking an exciting new chapter for the bar’s cocktail programme.
