The Line at Shangri-La Singapore proudly partners with renowned Peranakan chef Philip Chia to present a heritage-rich feast inspired by the Tok Panjang long-table tradition, as featured in Mediacorp’s Emerald Hill

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday, The Line at Shangri-La Singapore proudly partners with renowned Peranakan chef Philip Chia to present a heritage-rich feast inspired by the Tok Panjang long-table tradition, as featured in Mediacorp’s Emerald Hill.

Showcasing time-honoured Peranakan recipes, the spread includes beloved dishes such as Ayam Buah Keluak, Babi Assam Goreng, Sambal Udang Petai, Nasi Goreng Sambal Belacan, and Ikan Pari Kuah Ladah (stingray in peppery sour gravy).

Other highlights include the earthy Nyonya Chap Chye, fiery Sambal Benden with hae bee hiam, savoury Ngoh Hiang, vibrant Fruit Rojak, and Cheh Hu, a refreshing Nyonya-style salad. Completing the Peranakan selection is the rich Kepiting Taucheo—mud crab braised in fermented yellow bean paste.

Beyond these heritage flavours, guests can enjoy a full international buffet featuring fresh sashimi, seafood on ice, roasted meats, charcoal-grilled delights, and hearty soups. End the meal with nostalgic desserts like Pengat Durian, Bubur Pulut Hitam with Dried Longan, and a colourful assortment of Nyonya kueh. As part of the SG60 celebrations, guests born in 1965 dine free with every two paying adults from now to 17 August.
