Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and Candlenut, the world’s first Michelin-starred Peranakan restaurant will be launching a specially crafted Peranakan Afternoon Tea at One-Ninety Bar that is available on all weekends of April and May 2021.
Candlenut Chef-owner Malcolm Lee has conceptualised a sophisticated menu of Straits Chinese dishes elevated with astute twists while preserving the essence and complexities of the traditional cuisine. One can look forward to an assortment of dainty sweets such as
🔸 Kaya and Butter Toast
🔸Buah Keluak Tart
🔸Chinese-style Butter Cookies
🔸 Lemongrass Cake
and savoury treats such as
🔸Kueh Pie Tee
🔸Roti Jala, a lacy coconut crépe paired with Chef Lee’s Mum’s Signature Chicken Curry
🔸 Vanilla and Pandan Scones by Executive Pastry Chef Audrey Yee
Bar Manager Gabriel Carlos has also introduced 3 locally-inspired craft cocktails to pair with the afternoon tea. They are the Kopi-O , Kampong Fizz and Pandan Kueh. Complete the meal with Candlenut Signature Tea Blend , a fine selection of specialty Monogram teas or Lavazza coffee.
